Mulch

mulchMulch is a key component to all landscapes. It provides moisture retention, keeps roots cool in the heat of the summer, protects tender perennials in the winter, holds weeds at bay, and gives the home a finished and aesthetically-pleasing look.

Bulk- At Zone 7, Inc., we offer only hardwood bark mulch for bulk purchase. It is available for immediate pickup or delivery. The two most popular types are single ground and double ground.

Single ground consists of longer strands of mulch that have been put through the shredder only once; thus, reducing labor and making it a very affordable choice at a lower price. Single ground works well on steep slopes and large areas, aiding in erosion control.

Double ground consists of smaller pieces that are easier to spread around beds that contain lots of shrubs, flowers and trees. When possible, it is best to use double ground for all visible areas of the yard.

Bagged- We offer hardwood bark, pine bark, cypress and shredded rubber mulch in bags.

Use our Mulch Calculator below to determine the cubic yards of mulch needed for your yard.

We are often asked the cost of a truck load of mulch. There is not an industry standard on the size of the truck used for delivering the mulch; therefore, each vendor will quote a different price based on the amount of mulch their truck holds.

Pine Straw- Pine straw is a popular alternative to mulch. Zone 7, Inc. carries large round bales of pine straw for easier spreading.
