Zone 7 Nursery & Garden Center started as an offshoot of the owner’s love for plants and creative landscapes that utilize plants, stone, wood and water to create outdoor living spaces that match the homeowner’s lifestyles.

Zone 7 Landscapes, Inc. (Landscape Design & Build) originated to meet the demand for master planning and landscape construction that are beyond the capabilities of the homeowners shopping at the nursery. Our capabilities range from simple foundation designs to full master plans for estates.

We provide professionally designed landscape plans and installations for home and business owners. Plans are prepared in-house by our team of experienced and educated designers. Our installers are also well-trained and professional.

Design appointments are available Monday through Friday beginning as early as 8 am. Prior to scheduling an appointment, we require that our “Landscape Design Questionnaire” be returned to us. This questionnaire, which can be found on our website, clarifies your expectations and defines the scope of the project. We will then assign an experienced designer to your project. Appointments will be made promptly. Please anticipate at least a week lead time for the actual site visit.

Fees for Designs:

• $60.00 for the most basic foundation planting design
• $120.00 for a full site plan for subdivision size lots (customer provides survey of lot and structures)
• $400.00 for a master plan for subdivisions requiring approval drawings (customer provides site plan)
• TBD for large master plans with water features, retaining walls, patios and lighting (customer supplies plat and topography)

What does the fee include?
All designs include a computer generated drawing and a comprehensive bill of materials. Plants are shown at mature size and to scale. Bills of materials include all plants, soils, mulches and labor costs if you choose to have Zone 7 Landscapes, Inc. do the installation. Our designers will conceptualize the locations of walls, decks, footpaths, low voltage lighting, water features and other landscape elements. Labor costs include drainage, grading, and other site work.

When is the best time to do landscape plans?
For new homes, the best time to do plans is after the frame is up, but before the final grade is established. Planning for the drive, sidewalks, and proper drainage is important. For older homes, a fresh facelift can increase the resale value and should be implemented prior to being placed on the market. Also, plans should be done when an existing landscape does not compliment the home's attributes or needs curb appeal.

NOTE: When deciding on the time that works for you, please remember that Zone 7 Landscapes, Inc. is busy year-round thanks to the mild climate in this area. However, we get extremely busy in late winter and spring.
